Housing Market Feasibility Studies

Laurin Associates has been preparing quality market studies since 1981, for both affordable and market rate rental housing of all types, including farmworker, seniors, family, assisted living, and special needs populations.

Our Market studies are compliant with the guidelines of the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (CTCAC) and the California Debt Limit Allocation Committee (CDLAC), all Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) programs, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Programs, and Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs. Laurin Associates has also completed market studies throughout the U.S. Additionally, Laurin Associates is an active member of the National Council of Affordable Housing Market Analysts (NCAHMA), which provides ongoing training for market analysts.

Laurin has prepared numerous special needs studies, including: homeless individuals, veterans and families; individuals living with developmental or mental health disabilities; individuals who are survivors of physical abuse; individuals with chronic illness, including HIV; and homeless youth.  In addition, Laurin Associates has prepared market studies for projects in various states throughout the Country.  For example, Laurin Associates has prepared market studies for State Agencies in California and Arizona, as well as prepared market studies for syndicators in multiple states including, but not limited to, New York; New Jersey; Michigan; Oregon; Washington; and Nevada.

Laurin Associates’ market study approval rate with local, State and Federal agencies is exceptional. We have developed close working relationships with many of the various program staff and are readily available to address any questions that may arise.
