CEQA ASSOCIATE/TECHNICAL WRITER
Raney Planning & Management, Inc. is seeking a full-time employee to work primarily in the Raney Division focusing on environmental services. The position will support project managers in preparing CEQA/NEPA documents.

An ideal candidate will possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning/Urban Planning, English, or related field;
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of recent professional experience in the environmental consulting industry;
  • Strong project management abilities;
  • The ability to coordinate and maintain relationships with local agencies and clients;
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics and statistics;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; and
  • The ability to think critically and logically with experience in reviewing technical documents and creating clear, concise client-friendly reports.
The following are preferred:
  • Experience working on a wide range of public and private sector planning, community development, and CEQA projects; and
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, CalEEMod, AERMOD, EMFAC, Photoshop, or GIS.

ASSOCIATE PLANNER
Raney Planning & Management, Inc. is seeking a full-time employee to work primarily in the Raney Division focusing on City and County planning services. This position will support senior planning staff and project managers in research, assist in the writing of staff reports, preparation of policy-level planning documents, facilitation of public workshops and hearings, and support in the preparation of CEQA documents.

An ideal candidate will possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning/Urban or City Planning or related field;
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent California professional experience in land use and planning, including local government land use and application of CEQA;
  • Strong project management abilities;
  • The ability to coordinate and maintain relationships with local agencies and clients;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; and
  • The ability to think critically and logically with experience in reviewing technical documents and creating clear, concise client-friendly reports.
The following are preferred:
  • Experience working on a wide range of public and private sector planning, community development, and CEQA projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and GIS.

MARKETING ASSISTANT
The Marketing Assistant is a permanent full-time position assisting the Marketing Director in the day-to-day marketing operations of the Company. The Marketing Assistant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, drafting written proposals and Statement of Qualifications, coordinating with the Marketing Director and project management team on the approach to proposals, performing marketing research related to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications, coordinating with technical sub-consultants, and serving as back-up receptionist.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of one year of previous work experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or Marketing is desired, but not necessary;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Multi-tasking capability, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently, in a timely manner, and with minimal direction is strongly desired;
  • Problem-solving skills; and
  • Ability to follow complex procedures while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
The following are preferred:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
