Raney Planning & Management, Inc. is seeking a full-time employee to work primarily in the Raney Division focusing on environmental services. This position will support senior planning staff and project managers in research, preparing CEQA/NEPA documents, assist in the writing of staff reports, preparation of policy-level planning documents, and facilitation of public workshops and hearings.

An ideal candidate will possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning/Urban Planning, English, Journalism, History, or related field;
  • 2 years of recent California professional experience;
  • Strong project management abilities;
  • The ability to coordinate and maintain relationships with local agencies and clients;
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics and statistics;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; and
  • The ability to think critically and logically with experience in reviewing technical documents and creating clear, concise client-friendly reports.
The following are preferred:
  • Experience working on a wide range of public and private sector planning, community development, and CEQA projects; and
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, CalEEMod, AERMOD, EMFAC, Photoshop, or GIS.

Raney Planning & Management, Inc. is seeking an account assistant to the bookkeeper. The position will start as part-time, with the opportunity to turn into full-time, as individual training and proficiency in assigned tasks progress. Workload will include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, contract management, data entry, answering phones, filing, and other clerical tasks as needed. The position will also include assistance on tasks needed company wide, including Laurin Associates Division by making phone calls and site visits.
